SuitUp2Swim Swimsuit / Equipment Donation Drive ACTIVE
Hello to all Bolles Sharks Athletes & Famlies!
We are reaching out to you all for a second year with a request for participation in SuitUp2Swim--a community outreach program focused on providing much needed swim equipment to athletes in developing countries. Anya Burtak, our own teammate in the Senior Program, has worked to create this project to help those in the Phillippines with providing swim equipment that many of them do not have access to. We would like to support our International swimming community in working with Anya to collect lightly used practice & tech suits, caps/goggles, and lightweight swim equipment (paddles, parachutes, etc.). The majority of the athletes in need of this equipment are between 8 and 16 years old, so we welcome a variety of suit sizes and types.
We began collecting items this past weekend at the BSS October Meet, with great success and enthuiasm! We will continue to collect donations through November 30th. Bins designated for each donation item (men's suits, women's suits, lightweight equipment) are located in the swim office. Our donations will then be shipped to the Phillippines in the late fall. We appreciate everyone's help in supporting athletes in need and look forward to making swimming possible when it otherwise wouldn't be.
For more information on the project you can meet with Anya or her mother Charmaine on the pool deck!
Thank you again for your support and GO BOLLES!
